Jalsa Indian Kitchen Debuts Dubai Chocolate Bar Inspired Cake
The Dubai chocolate bar craze continues to sweep South Jersey, where people are in a frenzy for the rich, creamy, and nutty confection.
The newly opened Jalsa Indian Kitchen in Somerdale has unveiled its inspiration for the buzzworthy sweet treat, and you’ll want to try it!
Introducing the Dubai Kunafa Chocolate-Pista Cake! It’s basically the chocolate bar but in cake-form. Let that sink in!
Jalsa’s pastry chef, who comes from Dubai, created this one-of-a-kind, velvety, and crunchy cake. It is featured on the dessert menu for a limited-time. They may add it to the menu permanently if it goes well.
The cake contains unsalted butter, toasted shredded Kataifi vermicelli (made from phyllo dough—to make it golden/crispy), pistachio cream, tempered dark chocolate, corn starch, olive oil, sesame tahini, cocoa powder, raw unfiltered honey, all-purpose flour, Himalayan sea salt, baking powder, vanilla extract, milk, and pistachio nuts.
If this cake sounds SO GOOD to you, check it out.

No purchase is necessary, and you don’t have to sign up for anything. But I recommend going to the restaurant, trying your favorite dish, and ending with the amazing Dubai cake! 🙂
